Sapphire is the newest technique in FUE hair transplant whereby sapphire blades are used to create micro channels at the recipient site ( Pre-made slits ) . These channels helps to determine the angle , direction, depth and density of the new hair growth that allows more accurate incisions in recipient area .

Sapphire is made from precious diamond tip shaped gem stone that are known for their sharpness , smoothness and durability . These sapphire blades are made from a single synthetic crystal which is actually is a aluminum oxide .

  2. The use of sapphire blade tip reduces vibration so the risk of tissue damage is minimised because of which chances of having swelling are much less common than other hair transplant techniques. So it helps for faster recovery .This shortens the healing time also .
  3. In classical FUE method steel blades are used . Steel blades are blunt , they causes more tissue damage and more scab formation . Steel blades are also allergic . Sapphire blades are sharp , smooth causing less tissue damage . Apart from non allergic sapphire blades have anti microbial and antibacterial properties too.

Frequently Asked Questions

If patient undergoes strip FUT method then scar is expected but it is negligible, undetectable and get hidden by hair at the back. In FUE method there is no scar.
